Domestic Adoption through the eyes of a child

Hi my name is Jaxon and I am 1 year old.  I was adopted through Lutheran Social Services in the Domestic Adoption Program.

My birthparents picked my forever family before I was born.  We exchange letters with my birthparents and can have visits.  My mom and dad say they never could have imagined the immediate bond they felt with my birth parents and the unbelievable amount of love and happiness they feel about me!  They know we were always meant to be a family and it happened thanks to our domestic adoption journey.

I'm happy that I am adopted because I have parents who waited a long time to be able to hold me, and love me.  And I also have birthparents who love me so much and wanted the best for me, so they made an adoption plan.
