Haiti is devastated by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake.

Haiti is devastated by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake.  Many families have contacted Lutheran Social Services to offer their assistance and want to know how to help the children and families.

When a disaster occurs many people want to assist by helping the children and families in need.  LSS has worked with Holt International and their Haiti adoption program for many years.   Holt is responding to the needs and they have a current list on their website.   http://www.holtinternational.org/haiti/earthquake.shtml

If you are a family who is in the adoption process, visit http://adoption.state.gov/news/Haiti.html for more information.

Currently, there is a travel warning in the aftermath of the earthquake, for details visit the U.S. Department of State. http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_4632.html

Please join LSS with thoughts and prayers for the people of Haiti and their families.
