Child Care Plans: Mother will take 12 weeks off at time of placement and father will take at least 1 week off at time of placement. After the first 12 weeks, mother will work part-time and the child will be with family the days the mother works. Once Jeff gets a teaching job he will be home with the child during the summer months.

Community/Neighborhood: Our house islocated on a quite street. We are close to parks and a walking path we were canride bikes and walk with our children. There are children in the area to play with and one of Jessica’s sisters lives in walking distance from ou rhome, so our children we be able to play together.

Holidays: We spend holidays with both of our families. We love being surrounded by the people we love. We both have huge extended families that we love to be around. We can’t wait to share those memories and traditions with our children.

Vacations: We have always gone on a vacation every year since we have been married. Sometimes it has been with Jessica’s parents and sometimes just the two of us. We can’t wait to share those vacations with our children and create lasting memories.

Family Gatherings: We spend a tremendous amount of time with family. Family is extremely important to us and our family will always surround our children. We have yearly family reunions to keep in touch with our extended family.

Dear BirthParent,

We would like to start by thanking you for your brave and courageous decision to consider adoption.

We are Jeffrey and Jessica. We began dating in high school and were married in May of 2007. We have a very strong and special relationship, having literally grown up together. Our lives have been challenged in many ways but ithas only made our love for each other stronger.

We are incredibly excited to expand our family through open adoption. We have known about our infertility since high school and spent the last two and half years trying to conceive a child on our own. We seek daily to understand more fully the grace of God and to trust Him more. We try to love each other the way Christ loves us, and we want our children to grow up knowing that God loves them unconditionally and has a plan for their lives. We will provide our children with the love and support that they need to explore all their interests. Our child will always know their birth story and know how caring and wonderful their birth parents were to give them the best life that they could.

We live in a ranch style, three bedroom home, walking distance from a nearby park and the local library. We have a dog named Mia, and a cat named Miko. We have a large extended family, waiting to meet our child. We are also actively involved in our local church, and work in the church nursery.

Jessica works as a legal assistant for a small law firm. She finds her work to be very challenging and rewarding. Jeffrey works as a universal banker for Harris Bank. He also operates his own business on the side called “TechTutor” where he teaches people to use technology. He is also going back to school to become a business education teacher for high school students.

We thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We know this is just a glimpse into our lives but we cannot wait to meet you and get to know you as well. You will continue to be in our prayers.
