Family live nearby and Charlie’s two brothers farm the adjacent land and most of our nearly 40 acre backyard. We often see deer and other wild animals out our windows. Sam loves anything with wheels and enjoys watching tractors drive by our home. There is plenty of space for kids to play indoors and out. We have friendly neighbors and an awesome view!

Holidays: Christmas and Easter are special times at church, home and celebrating with relatives. Beth likes to decorate our home and bake special treats to eat. Both Sam and Beth dress up for carving our pumpkin on Halloween. And there are always extra kisses on Valentine’s Day!

Vacations: It is so much fun to have Daddy home for extra days! We like to travel to see new places or to visit family who live out of the area. But then there are also times we like to just stay put.

Some seasonal things we enjoy:

Summer – Camping at state parks

Fall – Hiking in our colorful woods and picking apples from our trees

Winter – Building snowmen, taking Sam sledding and drinking hot chocolate

Spring – Watching the Sandhill Cranes return and flowers bloom

Family Gatherings: After church on Sundays, we usually all head over to Charlie’s parents’ place for brunch; Beth’s Mom often joins them and then Sam gets one of his“Two Grandma Days” which he thinks is truly awesome

Others: Our family and friends are very supportive of our decision to adopt again and along with us, can’t wait to welcome another child into our lives!

Dear Birth Parent,
We are so excited that you are taking a look at our family but also realize that you are in the process of making such a difficult decision. We want you to know that our hearts are with you and that if it is your choice, we would be honored to welcome your child into our forever family.

Our Journey
We have found that LOVE and our faith in God to be the answer to most everything. Both of us waited quite awhile to find each other. It just wasn’t the time for our paths to cross until we met during a canoe trip with friends from church. We found we both truly enjoyed each other’s company and became best friends. It’s amazing how you can look everywhere for that special someone and then find them just around the corner! We both really wanted to have kids and we are thankful that could happen through adoption. Having our son Samuel join us seems to have doubled the love and added even more laughter to our lives. Now we find we would like to increase that further by adding a second child to our family. Even Sam is really happy about having a brother or sister!

Our Family
The three of us enjoy nature through long walks, camping, or playing at a nearby park. And as a couple, we also like to work on home & garden projects. We really work well together and have always been able to talk to each other about anything, no matter how serious or silly the subject. And now with Sam along – most everything we do feels like much more of an adventure and oh so much fun.

Our Promise
We wish to raise our children to be loving, caring and considerate people. We have so much love to share with your little boy or girl and hope to instill our faith in God with him or her along the way. We also hope that you and even some of your family continue to be an important part of this child’s life. Yes - YOU are important! You are this child’s beginnings. We feel that without your respect for life and your love for what is best for your child, we wouldn’t be able to add another member to our family.

We very much look forward to meeting you!
Charlie, Beth &Sam
