with Special Needs: Training for Special Needs Adoption

These trainings are required of all
families who are adopting a child through Wisconsin's Special Needs
Adoption Program. This meets the 16-hour training requirement by
the State of Wisconsin.

Registration and Fees
If you are in the State of Wisconsin Special Needs Adoption Program
and you have submitted your application into the State or have a
child placed in your home that you are going to adopt, you do not
need to pay for the training.
If neither situation above applies to you, the fee is
$300 per couple. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Acceptable forms of payment are check (made payable to Lutheran
Social Services), Visa, and MasterCard.
You must be registered to attend the training.

**This 16-hour curriculum fulfills
the State Law, which mandates prospective adoptive parents meet
specific adoption-related competencies before they can either
receive placement of a child or finalize an adoption after April 1,
2007.**
