Adopting a Child with Special Needs: Training for Special Needs Adoption |

These trainings are required of
all families who are adopting a child through Wisconsin's Special
Needs Adoption Program. This meets the new training requirements by
the State of Wisconsin. These training sessions are open to any
families in the Western Region of Wisconsin who are ready to
finalize their adoption. |

In this initial round of trainings, preference will be given to families needing the training to finalize and those with approved home studies needing training in order to receive placement. Additional trainings will also be offered in upcoming months. |

Registration and Fees $300.00* (per couple or single adult with guest) for those who do NOT already have the child in their home that they will be intending to adopt. (Note that the fee may be recouped after and adoption is finalized. Ask your Social Worker for details if you are not aware of one-time reimbursable expenses). * No
Charge (paid by the State of WI) to those who already have the
foster or relative child placed in their home by a County DHS or
Special Needs Adoption Agency. |
